Learning photography, art and wellness

There are many great things with photography. For one, it’s wonderful to be able to make memories that last forever. Another thing, photography art is about adding an expressive layer which is fun. You start somewhere, and then you build up on your knowledge. I have studied different photography styles, portraits, studio, and the visual communication part as well. Here I will share some of my knowledge with you.

Photography can be so many different things – children and family photography, different landscapes, by night, sport, nature, animals – wildlife or your pet, and more. These require different skills and equipment, but by learning the basics you will get an idea of what you need to venture down these different paths.

Further, you will learn about different composition rules, settings of the camera, as well as how to use your photography adventure so that it may add a wellness layer to your life, should you wish. If you think about it, photography can be either very realistic, or more about storytelling – sometimes with a digital photoshop layer to it. Expressive art is how many people deal with experiences. We express them in one way or other.

A basic example, you can take photos horizontally and vertically. We are not always so keen on tilting the camera to get other proportions, but I suggest trying it out. Some tips and tricks will be easy for you to try out, and some other ones will be more difficult to accomplish. Even if you start with a simple and popular zoom camera from Amazon (affiliate link), or other place, later on you may want to find something where you can play with the settings – aperture, shutter speed and iso.
